How did you reinstall Office/Outlook? You need to do it from the console,
add/remove programs....make sure you specify that all components are to be
run from the server.

I don't know how you'd access it from the web interface. Try using a
newsreader like Outlook Express or Forte Agent, etc., instead. Everything's
a lot easier that way...including searching, which is always a good idea to
do before you post, as well as mark messages to be watched, and filter based
on replies to your posts.
The Microsoft public news server is news.microsoft.com and you can subscribe
to as many groups as you like.

I installed according to the instructions Microsoft has posted regarding
installing Office2003 on Terminal Servers. I did it via Control Panel -->
Add/Remove Programs.
I see others have the same issues as I - but can any one confirm, if it is
possible to open Outlook on a Terminal Server for the first time as a regular
user, or do they really have to be member of the local administrator group on
the TS server?
I did select all the default settings regarding "Run this program from this
computer."
It was recommended not to change any settings here.
I thought by having the users open Outlook first time being a member of
local admin group and then take them out of the group would be possible. But
they are not able to open Outlook again without being a member of local
administor group.
Did I over see something in the instructions on how to install Office2003 on
a Terminal Server???
Really appreciate some help here, since my boss does not like to have all
our users being members of the local admin group, since that also give them
permission to shut down the server, instead of only log out....
Thanks,
Lars

Sorry for the delay - I just saw this reply. Did you try posting in the TS
group as I recommended?
