Setting Read Receipts on a per-contact basis?

Is there a way of telling Outlook not to send a read-receipt request for a
specific Contact?

you could use an after sending rule to add it.

Actually I want to take it away! I subscribe to a mailing list, and although
I need read-receipts for other email, I don't want to send requests to the
mailing list.
