Do you have any add-ins? While I don't think the /resetfoldernames will
hurt anything, you shouldn't need it every time you run Outlook.

Brian, I used the /safe command and it opened with all the names
right. But again when I used just outlook.exe the names were missing
letters.
I checked the add-in manager, and found something I didn't recognize:
Redemption Helper Outlook Extension. Don't have a clue, but when I
disabled it and restarted Outlook.exe with no switches the names were
complete...
Also have Exchange Extensions Property Services disabled, doesn't seem
to impact my problem either enabled or disabled, but not sure what it
is.
Anyway, unless Redemption Helper is critical to something, I think
that solved it - for now, anyway! Let me know if you have any other
suggestions, and thanks for all your help.
