Hello,

Here's my situation. I just ghosted this laptop hard drive and
everything seemed fine.  I went to check my POP3 email accounts (3 of
them) and it showed "downloading xx of 365 messeges", but it didnt'
display them.

I then did a repair install of Office 2003 and went to check my email
again and well still no messages.

After the repair it's downloading and displaying all new incoming mail,
but it's not displaying those 365 messages from the first go round.

The problem is that this laptop is set to download and remove the
messages form the server so I cannot ask the ISP to reset the mailbox.

Where (if at all) can I look to find these messages?  Is the PST
corrupt?  All new mail is being delivered without a problem, it's just
those 365 that are missing, vanished into thin air.

Laptop background:
Dell
Outloook 2003
Norton AV

Thanks!

Maybe they went to a different PST file? Check the machine for PST files.

I thought it did too and tried searching for a PST with no results
other then then one being used and a archived.pst.

Very odd... Try doing an Advanced Find to see if the message 'went
somewhere' odd

I'll give that a shot.  I'll keep you posted.

Nope not anywhere.

Very odd... not sure where they could have gone unless they were marked as
junk and you emptied the Junk folder
