I installed the Outlook 2003 Backup Utility. My user profile became
corrupt. I had to create a new user profile. NOW, my Outlook Backup
Utility is missing. So I try to reinstall it. It will not let me
because it tells me that it is already installed. So I go to ADD REMOVE
programs to uninstall. It is not listed there. So I can't install
because it tell me it is installed, but I can't find it and I can't
uninstall it.

HELP!  How can I get this utility to install again in my new user
profile?

Does ANYONE have an idea what files I need to delete to get rid of the
backup utility so that I can reinstall it again?

FRUSTRATED HERE!

Delete the program folder of this utility in your program directory.
Then run "regedit", search for the name of this program and delete all
entries. But - you should be very careful and delete only this entries
you are sure that they are from this backup tool. Furthermore verify the
folders

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Datas

and

C:\Documents and Settings\%Username%\Application Datas

for entries from this tool.

Best to use the advice of this KB Article:

You cannot install the Personal Folders Backup add-in for Outlook 2000 or for Outlook 2002:

I didn't know it concerns Microsoft's backup tool "pfbackup". I thought
the OP is using any third party program for backup.

Check the Com Addins list in Outlooks Addin Manager to re-enable Backup. Do
Not do any editing of the Registry for this problem. The Addin manager has
Backup on the Other tab in Tools, Options, Advanced Options, Com addins
button.

Answered many, many times and a ten second search would find the other times
it has been answered.  Here's one:
