Apostrophe and Quote Mark Problem Only in Outlook 2003

When writing an email in Outlook 2003 on my Acer laptop 5620 (Vista Home), I
find I cannot type apostrophes or quote marks. For example, when I try to
use the conjunction for I am, I get the following             I'm         or
trying to quote something, I get this        "A route of effervescence"    .
As you can see, the symbols I get are at the bottom of the line and take up
two, rather than one space. This only happens in Outlook 2003 when composing
mail, and only in the body of the email. I can type  Apostrophes and Quote
marks, for example, on the Subject line. I do not have this problem in Word
or any other application, only Outlook, and only when composing an email.

I am not using Outlook to send this Newsgroup email, but was able to
duplicate the problem above by cutting and pasting.

I found the solution ... I changed the Font and no more problems.
