I have Vista on a Toshiba and have installed Office 2003, all worked OK
until Outlook suddenly stopped sending and receiving emails and comes up
with an error code: 0x80042108, I have turned off my virus software,
reinstalled all my email settings and even reinstalled office 2003, no luck,
I have now upgraded to office 2007 and still it will not work, but I can get
emails OK on other programs like Mozilla or windows mail?

Has anyone had this problem and been able to overcome it? I would like to go
back to using Outlook.

Are you perhaps using Norton Internet Security or some other suite? Check
your COMs and Add Ins for any integration into Outlook. Not just antivirus
but even anti-spam.

I've the same experience. It's comes each time after installing
Outlook updates from the Microsoft, which I've got it yesturday.
Every time I do the same thing - I'm uninsalling it, and prohibit this
update. Everything works after that. Seems like Microsoft guys release
not well tested upgrades for Outlook. I didn't found any meaningful
explanation/fix for this bug in Internet ;(

Regards,
Oleg.
