Having a newly developed problem with Outlook 2007 only.
Last week our network users started to have problems with Outlook 2007
connected to a new Exchange 2007 server repeatedly asking for a UN/PWD.
Once you enter the info, it will stop. But when you close and reopen the
app the same thing happens.
I have tried almost every resolution possible on the net that I can find.
Change Registry, changed the Protect Folder, rebuilt the account, you name
it I have tried it. Any new suggestions would be helpful. And yes I am
using RPC over HTTP and the settings have all been tested.
Thanks, Les
Have you cleared the password cache?
1. Open the Control Panel.
2. Open User Accounts.
3. If your user account is in the Administrator group, follow these steps:
a. On the Advanced tab, click Manage Passwords. b. Remove any .NET
Passport-related entries. c. Click Close, and then click OK.
If your user account is not a member of the Administrator group,
follow these steps: a. Click Manage my network passwords. b. Remove any
Passport-related entries. c. Click Close, and then close User Accounts.

Tried that and same thing happened. Even deleted references to other
accounts and knew that I would get a prompt at least once. Closed out the
app three times with the same result. I have not had any luck with this and
have searched for three days. Seems this is an issue and no one has a
solution for it except maybe within Vista but XP is all we run and the V fix
does not solve the problem.

This did not work either. I followed the link and it led me to a Vista
repair, at the bottom it led to an XP repair that I have run and then ran
the Registry fix. Still same results, no change. I have stopped all COM
Add ins, I have deleted the registry key as suggested, I have deleted the
profile and created a new on, if it can be done I have done it. I need the
rabbit in a hat fix now.
Thanks, Les
