HI,

In the properties sheet of the Contacts folder, the option for Show this
folder as Addressbook is not highlighted but shows checked.  My new entries
to the contacts folder dont show in the Address book.

Can I do anything about this?

Thanks for any help.

Thanks Milly.

Pardon my ignorance ..  I cant find a way to create new profile..  I checked
the Help file and Microsoft KB.  KB only shows for Corporate workgroup
setting, which I dont have.

Could you help with this one too?   i use OL2k with Internet mail setting.

Thanks
Ramesh

You cannot create a new profile in IMO. Nor do you need to. The setting to
which you refer is exactly as it should be in IMO mode. What makes you think
you need to change it?

Moreover, IMO does not use the Outlook Address Book. It uses the Windows
Address Book. If Contacts are not appearing, you have a problem with Outlook
Express and Windows, not Outlook. Make sure you are entering your Contacts
in the same Contacts Folders that the address book view is displaying. State
what is showing in the address book view.

Thanks Russ.

My problem is the new entries i make in Contacts folder do not appear in the
Address book which is used in Outlook.  No problem with the old entries.
When I looked in the properties of Contacts folder, the option for Show this
folder as Address book is not highlighted, though it is checked too.  This
problem is only on my laptop but the same thing is highlighted in my desktop
and i dont have this problem there.

I am seeking a solution for this issue.  I use O2k.

I know that much. What is the answer to my question?
State how may Contact Folders you have in your profile. You have
misconfigured something.

Sorry Russ .. seems like  i had not got your question right first time.

I have 2 contacts folder.  One called Diary and another the default
Contacts.  The one which appears in the Address book is Contacts.  Diary is
not checked for showing in the Address book.

The only reason a Contact will not appear in the address book view is that
you are entering it in a folder that is not displaying in that view or the
Contact does not have a valid, resolved electronic address.
