OK. The reason I ask is because this is a popular trick produced by desktop
email scanners and it looks like you've eliminated that as the culprit.
Have you checked the quarantine logs on the Exchange server scanner to see
if any of these missing emails are getting held up? One other item that can
affect Outlook messages (reading them, not sending them) is Google Desktop
Search.
