PP Viewer 2003 does not open other files

Does anyone know a solution to this problem.  I am at a
training position where over 1000 PPS files have been
created.  Each of these files have a hyperlink button
that accesses a program.  PP Viewer 2003 has disabled
that option.  I would like to still open files with the
free viewer as it is not an option to install PP on all
of my computers (that is around 200 computers).  The
program that it accesses is a "switcher" program that
brings Macromedia Authorware to the top and sends PPT to
the back (allows for the display of animations and vice
versa).  I realize that I will eventually have to shift
out of PP Viewer 97 and I need a fix to my problem before
I move to 2003.

PowerPoint 97 Viewer should work fine as long as you don't use any of the
new animation/transition features. If you still need the new Viewer to be
able to link to another program, do put it across to Microsoft through the
MSWISH initiative:
