I have a presentation that i need to create that will run constantly
on a screen at the front doors of a small hotel. What I have done is
created a link to an external file done in word. Now as the events in
any given day change, (ie. Solon 'D' - General Meeting - 10:30am) the
end user wants to be able to update the file that contains the events
for the day and have it displayed on the screen updated automatically
as well. This will be done 2 to 3 times a day I am told. I have tried
this but the link is not updating automatically. I have set the link
option to update automatically. Is there vb code that will trick ppt
into thinking that the file has been reopened, therefore update the
link?
Any ideas?

maybe you have to take a look at www.take-off.as/datapoint for data-dynamic
presentations.
