cd-r vs dvd-r

i have made a power point  slide show (pics and music) when i burn to cd-r i
only get music on the TV.  But i can read the whole video on another
computer.  I need to play on TV for a Home show.

Any advise welcom.

A PowerPoint presentation will not run on a TV if it is on a CD and the CD is
inserted in a DVD player connected directly to the TV.  The presentation
requires that a computer with PowerPoint be in the configuration somewhere.  If
you want to play it on a TV connected to a standalone DVD player, you'll need to
capture the presentation to a video file first.  See
