animation commands - copy and paste

Has anyone had any luck copying animation commands from a
timeline and pasting them in to the same timeline. I would
like to re-use groups of animated graphics within a single
slide (or multiple slides for that matter). Copying or
duplicating the object that contains the animation only
gives me the animation associated with a particular
object. I would like to be able to select multiple layers
of the time line and copy/paste those lines back into the
timeline. I'd really like to know if a solution exists.
Thanks

You might want to check out Animation Carbon:

It might be able to do what you want it to do.
