Issue with Transfer from Wd to PPT

I created an outline in Word 2002 and transferred it to PPT 2002
through File/Send to PowerPoint.  In PPT, I applied a preexisting
design template to the plain B&W design which resulted from the
transfer.  It went mostly well, but there were two problems, one of
which I have not been able to solve.

In presentations normally created from the pertinent design
template--and any other presentation--the first mouse click after
the last bullet on a slide results in a 'next page' command.  In
this presentation, it takes about three clicks, or three page down
keys, before the next slide comes up.  Why?  And how can I fix
this?

Is this a template that you created, or is it a Microsoft template.  If the
latter, can you tell us the name of it?  That way we'll be able to see whether
the template is causing the problem.

Mine.  If you want me to send it to you, feel free to send your
address to the e-mail address described (i.e., de-munged) below.  I
won't abuse the privilege by sending other stuff.
