When adding a hyperlinked file a message stating "this may contain a virus"
and asks if I want to open the file appears.  How do I turn this off?  There
is no virus!!!

You can turn it off on your system, but it doesn't travel with your
presentation.  So, if you move or distribute the presentation, the message will
come back.  See:

"Some files can contain viruses ..." message when clicking a hyperlink
