I was trying to create a powerpoint presentation from a formatted word
document. However the entire document became 1 slide !!! How do I set up the
word document so that when I send to ppt it sorts as multiple slides ?

Abe,
In Word, apply the heading styles to the text your want transferred to
Powerpoint. Heading one gives you a title all subsequent levels a bullet
e.g.
                                                          Text of heading 1
bullet level 1 (=heading 2)
bullet level 2 (=heading 3)
and so on
In Powerpoint go to Insert files from outline and select your Word document.
