How do you make a powerpoint slideshow play on a ordinary DVD player? YOu don't. PowerPoint has no method to create a video file. Office on the Mac also has an export to Quicktime function, though I've no idea how faithfully it converts and what options you have. Then you'd need to convert the Quicktime to MPEG2 and author as a DVD. And that's assuming your PowerPoint presentation is automatic. It takes a bit of doing and some video editing software. With this method you lose all of the slide transitions and custom animations. Break up all your slides into single pieces. That is, if you have three bullet points that slide onto the screen, break that one slide into three. The first point on the first slide, the first TWO points on the second slide, and all three points on the third slide. Now, save your entire presentation as JPEGs (or similar file format). Open up your video editing software. Import, in sequential order, your PowerPoint slides and then proceed to create your DVD or VHS tape. Some important things, make sure the dvd and the dvd player are compatible. About the animation and music This program supports the conversion of most transitions, text animations, graphics animations in PowerPoint Music can also be well preserved in sync with the slides. For better conversion results, it is recommended to add the music after conversion with the" add background music " fearure in the program.
