I am currently making a Powerpoint presentation that has to be ready
for tomorrow.  I have been placing different backgrounds on each slide.
When I close the presentation and open it, some of the backgrounds
have moved to the wrong slide.  Does anyone know what could cause this
or how to prevent it ?

Thanks in advance

How are you "placing backgrounds" on each slide? Step by step, please...

I am doing "Insert, Picture, From File" and then sending it to the back
by clicking on "Draw" on the Drawing toolbar and the "Order" and "Send
to Back".

Thanks again

P.S I know this isn't technically a background as it is just a picture

Some here have seen the picture swap thing you're seeing (which is why I
asked how you were placing the backgrounds. You're right -- a background can
be different than a picture.)

I don't know that we've found an answer for it, though. The only thing I can
think is to try "round tripping" the file through HTML to clear out any
oddities. See http://www.powerpointworkbench.com/html/round_trip.htm for
instructions on how to do this.

What version of PPT are you using. Master slides are very different between
PPT 2000- and PPT 2002+.
