I have a power point presentation created in Office 97. We have now upgraded
to 2000 and my power point presentation links to do not work. Do I really
have to relink all my links?
If they are links to files and the files no longer reside in the *exact*
location the link points to, they will need to be recreated. But you haven't
told us what type of links are causing the problem, so it's hard to say.

They are links to different pages in the presentation. No outside files.
The links work fine when opened in 97 but in 2000 the links go to different
pages. The presentation was not changed, no new pages were added.

I don't recall this as a "known" problem. However, there were 3 service packs
for Office 2000 released after the software was introduced. Have you applied
all three of them? Service packs correct problems identified after a new
version of Office is released. Go to Help > About Microsoft PowerPoint. If it
doesn't indicate SP 3 as part of the version number then go to the Microsoft
Update site and check for updates.
