Color BEHIND the slide show

Hi.  I have a presentation that is in portrait layout instead of landscape.  
The extra space on the sides is currently black and it looks bad with the
presentation.  How cab I change that color (if at all) ?

You can't change it for a portrait presentation.  However, if you think about
it, making your slides "portrait" really hasn't given you more space on the
screen (the height is fixed), so why not make the slides landscape and give the
unused area on the sides a color of your choice?
