I developed a presentation in 2003 which does not work properly in
2000. There are 2 issues pertaining to Custom Animation.

1. I have a text box with 4 bullet points. The first appears with the
slide title and the following 3 appear on-click. This effect (in 2000)
puts all 4 items on the screen at once or all four use on-click. Can I
duplicate the 2003 effect without creating 4 individual text boxes?

2. With each bullet point, I have a photo appear on the screen. When
the second bullet appears, the first picture disappears and a new
picture appears. Works fine in 2003 - not in 2000. Any way to
synchronize the text and the picture (text 1 & picture 1) so it will
work in 2000?

Help...please

One thing you can do to avoid the incompatiblity:

While in PPT 2003, go to Tools > Options. Click the Edit tab. Under disable
new features, select "new animation effects." Now when designing in 2003
you'll be fully aware of the limits of 2002.

I meant "limits of 2000" - not "2002".

The first one is odd, as it should probably be okay in PPT 2000. Depends on
the animation itself and the other animation settings that have been
applied, though.

Regarding #2, PPT 2000 doesn't have exit effects, nor does it have
simultaneous animation. You'd have to group the appropriate items to have
them come in at the same time (which would mean individual textboxes).
You'll also need to animate in a background-colored box to cover the first
picture and fake the exit. You can group that box with the other items if
you want, which will help cut down on the necessary number of mouseclicks.

If you are going to present on a PC with older version of PowerPoint (2000
and below) or doesn't have PowerPoint, you can use Package for CD, which will
include PowerPoint Viewer 2003.

Check this out on how to use it:

PowerPoint Viewer 2003 can also be downloaded at:
