avi files not being accepted by powerpoint

I can play my video files in Windows Media Player but I can't insert them
into Powerpoint. On my Laptop I can insert them but they won't play.

You might want to try the add-on PFC "Plays For Certain". You can find it at:
http://www.pfcmedia.com

Do you have video editing software?  Check your Codec. With AVI, I have luck
with Cinepak Codec by Radius, 729 X 480, 29.97 frames/sec. Audio set at PCM
16-bit stereo, 44.1kHz.
