First line toolbar (file, edit, view, favorites, tool, help) is missing. How can I restore it? How can I restore it? Right click the toolbar area. A list of toolbars, etc. will come up. At the bottom is "Customize". Select that. Go to the Toolbars tab and check whether "Menu Bar" has a check in front of it. If it doesn't, add one and ok your way out. The Menu bar should reappear. If you are using PowerPoint 2007, then those don't exist.
