First line toolbar (file, edit, view, favorites, tool, help) is missing. How

Oops... please disregard my reply... I forgot which newsgroup I
was in, and gave you the Word answer for this problem instead of
the Powerpoint answer.

Right click the toolbar area. A list of toolbars, etc. will come up. At the
bottom is "Customize". Select that. Go to the Toolbars tab and check whether
"Menu Bar" has a check in front of it. If it doesn't, add one and ok your
way out. The Menu bar should reappear.

Which version of PowerPoint are you using? If you are using PowerPoint 2007,
then those don't exist.

Hi,
choose View, Toolbars, Customize. Select the Toolbars tab. Locate the Menu
Bar and turn on the check box.

I didn't think you could delete the menu bar but you could try this.
Right click on a blank area of any toolbar visible and > customise
Choose Toolbars > Menu bar > reset
See if that helps
