While in my slide show, when I click the mouse, an extra page shows up in
between each slide. Can someone please tell me how to fix this?

Do you mean that when you do a left click, nothing happens? This leads you to
click twice before your content appears.

Of the two slides, click on the second one.
Select Slide Show > Custom Animation.
Check to see if the first animation is "On click".
If yes, set the "Start" to "After Previous" instead.
See if it helps.
