I have just been upgraded to PowerPoint 2003.  I use to be able Ctrl-C &
Ctrl-V into a PowerPoint slide from another program and the picture would
automatically resize to fit, maintaining its aspect ratio. Also, if there was
an existing picture in the slide PowerPoint would shift and adjust the size
of the picture to allow room for the new picture.

I am using the blank.pot I had before the upgrade

What can I do make this happen again

Hi Brent,

I use Format, Slide Layout when I want pictures to autosize.  I pick the
appropriate text & content layout.  Then when I'm ready to paste the picture,
I first click on the Placeholder, then click CTRL-V and the picture autosizes.

Sandra Thanks,

But that is not what I am looking for.  I use to be able Ctrl C/Ctrl V
without any extra effort.
Also when I use that method with layouts it changes the aspect ratio of the
orignal.

A bit of more info my old system was win2000 with PowerpPoint 2002 SP3.  New
system is WinXP Pro with PowerPoint 2003 SP2.  I just verified with a
win2000/PP 2002 SP3 and Copying/Pasting auto-sizes to fit the slide. In both
cases I am using the same template.

You're one of the relatively few people who like this feature.
It was anything from confusing to infuriating for most people, so MS made it
stop in Office 2003.

Other than using one of the Content autolayouts, I don't think you can get
PPT2003 to do what you're after any more.
