Hi there
My PowerPoint 2003 has functioned normally for months. Starting today, if I
select "Insert==>Picture==>Clip Art" or if I activate the task pane and go to
"Clip Art" there, PowerPoint simply stops responding. I do not get an error
message, simply the hourglass. I can wait 30 minutes, and nothing happens.
When I go to the task manager to shut down PowerPoint, the task manager tell
me PowerPoint is running (it does not say "Not Responding."
I've tried "Help==>Detect and Repair" and "Help==>Check for Updates."
I use PowerPoint 2003 SP2, XP Professional 5.1.2600 SP 2.
Thanks

Are you connected to the internet when you try to do this?
Are you connected to your network when you try to do this? I suspect PPT is
trying to locate clips on the network and can't find the network drive....

Yes I am. Because it seems to work at the office but not while I'm connected
at the house, I'm betting it is Norton "protecting" me.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Ah, yeah, Norton. Try this, then:
