We recently had a service school at our company with many powerpoints from
different users.  There were several powerpoints that would not advance on
click from the mouse.  The others worked fine.  I have messed around with one
of the slideshows on my computer to attempt to get it to advance ,but it will
not advance no matter what slideshow setup I have selected using the mouse
click.  It will advance using arrows or the enter key?  Any assistance would
be appreciated.  As far as I know the PPT's with this problems were all
created on Powerpoint 2003.  The display machine as well as my machine have
SP2 installed, but don't know if that is an issue or not.  Thanks in advance
for the help.

Double check this...

slideshow menu > set up show > presented by a speaker - ticked?

Then check

slideshow menu > setup show > "show slide" all - ticked?

Cheers

Yes, they are both ticked.  I did find that in this particular slideshow,
under transistions, neither mouse click, or advance based on timings was
checked.  I asked the creator of the presentation and they said they did not
set it up like that, I don't know why someone would do that or if that is the
problem.  I had other slideshows with the same issue though and have not
found in the others the same problem with the slideshow transition settings.

Roundy,
Check out how the slides are set to transition. It sounds like the user set
tehm to transition after a time and didn't check the on mouse click button.
