Any way to see speaker notes ONLY on hosting desktop and not on a projected
screen

It's called "Presenter View." You can look it up in the Help. You need to
have a video card that supports more than one monitor for it to work.

Desktops need graphics card that allows different things to display on
different monitors. Look at multi-monitor page at:
