I switched to XP and have it on my new HP lap top, very disapointing...can
not open the  PPS attachment in outlook express, even after dowloading PPS
many times, talking with local experts, talking to Microsoft people- who did
not help much.....the problem is that the PPS that is available for
downloading is for OFFICE use  !!! I regret switching to XP---with windows
98SE it worked wonderful.....I am very frustrated, spent hours  searching
for ideas on the web...??????

Outlook Express cannot open PowerPoint files. You will need either the full
version of PowerPoint or the free PowerPoint viewer on your computer. You
can download the viewer here

You need either Powerpoint or the free PowerPoint viewer to view or open PPS
files.  Neither comes with Windows XP.  Neither came with Windows 98SE for that
matter.  Did you purchase Office and install it on your earlier computer?  If
so, install it on the new one and you should be good to go.   If not get back
with us for other ideas.
