Here you're talking to other PPT users, not MS employees/developers. We can't
generally tell you why MS made the decisions it has or do more than listen with
a sympathetic ear to feature requests.
If you've arrived via the web interface, there's an option to flag a post as a
suggestion to Microsoft. That'd be worth doing.
