My power point does not display embedded graphic objects (mostly vision but
also other graphics formats).

I have seen other similar questions; however, I cannot see the graphics even
in the small preview slide thumbnails.

If I right-click the graphic, I can open it in visio, graph/draw, or
sometimes even in word as a word drawing.

THis problem also occurs in MS Word.

Some of the responses suggest checking the Service Pack; it is running WIn
2K SP4. Other machines with a similar setup do not have this problem.

This is on a dual-display PC with ATI graphics.

Thanks for any ideas/suggestions

You need to check the Office service pack, not the Windows service pack.
Open PPT and go to Help|Check for Updates. Install Service Pack 2 for Office
2003. That should resolve your issues.
