"Omit background graphics from master" is too powerful.

I downloaded a template and added clipart(1) to the master and saved as a
template.

Then I selected the NEW template and added clipart(2) to the master.

When I checked "omit background graphics from master" for one of the slides,
I thought only clipart(2) would be omitted.  But to my surprise clipart(1)
was omitted as well even though it was from a TEMPLATE.

I have a feeling that template for PPT behaves differently from the one for
Word which can be protected or can't easily be changed.

Any comments?

Epinn,

the 'omit background' feature stops powerpoint from displaying anything that
is on the "slide master" on your current slide.
