Continued trouble with slide numbers...

My page numbers come up as 21..31..41. Can you help me make them look like
1..2..3? I've had this trouble before and can't seem to get it right.

Click "View", "Master", "Slide Master".  At the bottom right hand side of
your side master is usually where the slide number placeholder goes.  It
should only have "<#>" inside the placeholder.  Yours probably has "<#>1".  
Delete the number itself and keep the other symbols (field to generate the
slide number).

Holler back if that doesn't work or if it doesn't make sense.
