Howdy,
I have tried reviewing past soimilar posts, but can't find anything to help...
I have a .ppt that runs songs which are on a CD. Plays fine in .ppt I can
copy the .ppt onto the same CD as the .wmf files - still plays fine. Now I
want this to autorun, so I used package for CD - I selected the option for
including linked files. Now the music no longer plays. I tried copying the
.wmf to the cd, but that didn't help. Any ideas?

.WMF is an image file, not a sound file. Did you mean WMA?

If you linked the files from the CD, they may not show up when you package
from CD. Try ripping (or copying, depending on if your CD is an audio CD or
a data CD) the sound files to your harddrive and inserting them from there.
Then the package for CD should pick them up.

Well, I may have an inkling of the problem - the sound files are .cba - which
I kind'a understand can only be read from a CD. But to pack them onto a CD
and burn the presentation onto the same CD doesn't seem to be working for me.
Oh, help!

The CDA format of a music CD can only be played from the CD.  To do what you
want requires that you "rip" the contents to your hard drive in another
format and place it in your presentation.  If this is a commercial CD you
will need to obtain the copyright owners permission.  You may still run into
problems if the sound files contain DRM as they will not work in PowerPoint.
