I tried the 'turn off' feature for PowerPoint 2002 and it didn't work.  Is
there some other way to turn off the auto features of the org chart?

?? Which "turn off" feature? Do you mean Autolayout on the Org Chart
toolbar?

If you're having a specific issue with Org Chart, let us know and maybe we

If you are trying to create an org chart which differs greatly from the
standard you will find it easier to just draw your own!  Use rounded
rectangles and connectors.
