Hallo,

When I try to oppen a datasheet in an existing Powerpoint Presentation,
I will get the following Alert Box:

Microsoft Office Powerpoint can't start the application requierd to
open this object.
An error occured and this featureis no longer functioning
properly.Would you like to repair this feature now ?

Afer clicking YES, a progress bar with the following Text appears:

Installing: application server.

but the installion could not be finished because the source file cannot
be found.

Even with the original CD's, inserted in the CDROM drive, it is not
possible.

I tried to uninstall und reinstall it, no chance.

TIA for yout help

What datasheet? Is it an embedded Excel object, or something else?

Ahhhhh. Thanks, that helps.

You might try reregistering MSGraph. Or it could be an issue with your
antivirus program. Check here

Can't edit Org Chart, Graph, Excel (error msg: "server application, source
file, or item can't be found")
http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00236.htm

for more ideas.
