Powerpoint slows down every time I type in it. What can I do??

I've recently been using Powerpoint and it slowsdown every time I type or
edit text, This happens to the point I cant use it anymore because its way
too slow. Does somebody knows how to fix these problem??

First start off by Going to Tools, Options, Edit, and turn off Allow Fast
Saves. then tell us which version of PowerPoint your using.
