Is there a way to compress the show overall file size

I understand there is a way to compress a powerpoint show file size.

Firstly, turn of Fast Saves.
Click Tools > Options. Click on Save tab.
Uncheck Allow Fast Saves.

Now click File > Save As.
Save it under a new name.

Next, follow this article:

If you have lots of pictures try view>toolbars>picture
Click the compress pictures icon (4 inwards arrows)
Choose options ALL PICTURES + WEB/SCREEN
