How to make a number in powerpoint increase automatically daily

On Powerpoint Standard 2003, I'm trying to get a number to increase
automatically daily.  For example a slide will read :"X" days since last
incident. where "X" is a number that increases automaically every day. The
only manual change to should be required is the start date if there is a new
incident.
