Importing slides from one presentation to another

shouldn''t be doing this kind of work - 09 Jun 2006 14:29 GMT
My boss thought it'd be a great idea for someone (me) to make sure that all
of our reports, presentations, etc are exactly the same so that we may cut
and paste slides from any of them into another and everything will flow
beautifully.  Great.....in theory.

I have one presentation that when I copy a slide into another presentation,
the font decreases one point and when I copy a slide from the same
presentation into a third presentation, it increases the font one point.  The
increase/decrease is only on the slide that's been imported.

How do I prevent this from happening????

Not a great fan of Cut and Paste. If you presentations are now all the same
You might try insert slide from presentation and select maintain source
formatting and see if that does not do what you want.

Michael, thank you.  I was so ecstatic to think that I might have had an
answer, but alas, it doesn't work.  Thank you anyway!

You might want to under Tools, AutoCorrect Options, AutoFormat as you type,
remove the checkmark from the bottom item Auto format as you type. along
with ensuring that all the Service Patches have been applied for your
version of PowerPoint.
