Word and Excel now let you quickly display two documents side by side and
synchronize scrolling in the two documents, making it easy to scan and
visually compare the documents’ contents. Is this available for PowerPOint?

Look at "Shortcuts for PowerPoint" add-in at
http://officeone.mvps.org/ppshortcuts/ppshortcuts.html. Among other
shortcuts, it adds shortcuts for navigating to next slide and previous slide
in all open presentation. This should help you with synchronize scrolling
when you display two presentations side-by-side for comparison.
