all fine stuff. I periodically do this as well. I've often review the group
discussion an have noted this as a reply for other things as well.
This, along with "round tripping" seems to help.
Question, it there a version of PPT later then version 2002 that offers the
presenter the ability to draw a straight line when in PEN mode?
Can I just upgrade PowerPoint and not the other office applications (excel,
word etc.)?
Thanks,
Joe

Well, I'm glad to hear those helped. If you haven't already, you might try
locating your *.PCB file and deleting it. Do this while PPT is closed! The
*.PCB is your toolbar. PPT will regenerate its default toolbars when you
next start it up, but you'll lose any customizations you may have made.
Regardless, it often helps with those oddball crashes that can't be pinned
down to anything specific.

Unfortunately, no. 2003 doesn't (as you're aware, it seems), and I just
tried in 2007 Beta 2, and it doesn't seem to do it, either.

Absolutely.

Thanks again, I'm doing everything you suggest. I just deleted the PCB file.
I did/do use a customized toolbar. Are you suggesting the I don't make any
custimzations to PPT Toolbars?
----
Your replied also said that I can upgrade just specific application like
PowerPoint to 2003 and not the others. Maybe I'm new to this but everytime I
go into a store I only see Office upgrades not PPT. How can I upgrade just
one or a few of the applictions in Office?

No, you can make customizations. It's just that, over time, sometimes the
PCB file gets wonky. I know I had one that grew to, like, 1.5MB in size!
That's crazy big! I deleted it, and a whole slew of oddball crashes went
away.

You may have to order the PPT 2003 Upgrade online. I suspect most bricks and
mortar stores don't carry it because most of their customers will want to
just upgrade Office.
