You can either open a new presentation and use insert slides from file to
insert just the slide you want
OR
Delete all slides except the one you want from slide sorter view.
Be careful to work on a copy and not destroy the original!!

In the earlier version, you were able to send one slide from the PPT
presentation via email without going through all the steps you just
mentioned. Sure wish they hadn't changed that as it just makes it more time
consuming to do it this way.
