How do I hide or protect data used to develop chart in PowerPoint

I have a chart developed in power point.  I want to prevent or protect the
data that was used to develop the chart.

Try this. Copy the object and choose Paste Special from the Edit menu.
Choose a Picture format. The pasted picture should look just like the
original chart but have no links to a data table.
