The animation I am doing has small "pans" moving up and down, but only in
fairly small increments.  I am having difficulty getting the animations to go
in a very straight line.  If I use the standard "down" movement and then try
to shorten the distance by selecting the line it invaribly goes the slightest
bit off true.  Same if I make a custom animation line.  I have fairly steady
hands.  It is almost as if ppt will not allow a short line to go straight!

Additionally the movements I want to make are quite small.  Is there an
add-in that helps allow for finer animation control than the standard that is
in Powerpoint 2003?

The motion path tool has helped with one animation problem.  Nice work on
that Shyam Pillai!!

Try working at 400% view. If you have snap to grid / object on you might want
to hold down alt while dragging handles.
