I need help in transitioning between songs in a ppt presentation.....
I want one song to fade into a totally diffferent song...is this
possible during the creation of the presentation or do I have to put
together the songs on a different file and then just let the song
montage play?

You cannot fade music in powerpoint.
You need to use a sound editor to create the fades - an excellent free one
is audacity from http://audacity.sourceforge.net
