Is it possible to link PowerPoint to a database so that presentations can be
automatically generated? The pieces I am trying to connect are a Title, an
Image, and a Citation Field. I have metadata for this information.

Depending on your exact needs, there are a couple of commercial addins that'd
help.
Ours is called PPT Merge ... there's a free, fully functional demo at

Hi Terri,
DataPoint helps you to link a text shape directly to any database.
Further on also images and charts can be linked.
You can run your slide show and the data will be updated automatically
in the show OR you can generate offline presentations based on the
latest information.
More can be found at www.PresentationPoint.com
