Can I add a header to each page of a slide? Like our company name?

I have been trying for days to insert a header in each slide, but can only
see a footer, no header, even though I follow the directions in help and with
Power Point 2003 Bible!
What's the secret? I need to insert our Company Name on each slide at the top.

Go to View > Slide Master. Move the Footer placeholder to where you want it
at the top of your slide

Now go to View > Header/Footer. Make sure that Footer is checked. Type in
your company name.
