I have several PowerPoint presentations that I have inserted Windows Media
player files. Most times before the movie launches there is a quick flicker
right before the movie plays. I do not have any transistions associated to
the slide. There is no "flicker" when I play the file outside of the
presentation. This is the case on the Mac and in the beta version of Office
2007

Can someone shed some light on this? thanks

Have you tried overlaying the movie shape, on the slide, with an autoshape
set to background fill? When the slideshow is displayed the movie will play
over this autoshape and it will prevent the flicker.
